Our Vision, Our Mission, Our Calling
We believe our earthly life and spiritual life is a journey, and it is our mission at Mason United Methodist Church to walk alongside one another as fellow pilgrims. We support and celebrate one another as we hope to be more compassionate and more inclusive on this life-long journey. We walk as individually and communally seeking hope, love, joy and peace in our own lives and the world. The bottom line is that we hope to move closer to the heart of God and the hearts of those around us.
What do we mean when we say we are a part of the
Reconciling Ministries Network?
It means we celebrate God’s gift of diversity and value the wholeness made possible in community equally shared and shepherded by all. It means we welcome and affirm people of every gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation; who are of every age, race, and ethnicity; every physical and mental ability; level of education, and family structure; every economic, immigration, marital, and social status, and so much more. It means we acknowledge that we live in a world of profound social, economic, and political inequities. It means that as followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice, and pledge to stand in solidarity with all who are marginalized and oppressed.
